Student e-portfolio for a dental training provider
Challenge
A UK dental-nurse training academy needed students, assessors and administrators working from one live record instead of paper portfolios and email threads.
What we built
A Qualiflow-built e-portfolio platform, DNA Portal: structured units with criteria and range, evidence linked from Google Drive or OneDrive, assessor review queues, IQA sampling and progress visibility for the academy team.
Outcomes
- Live in production with real students and assessors
- Portfolio progress visible to staff in real time
- About an hour of assessor time saved each week
- Gap analysis and IQA sampling on the record itself, in place of a separate spreadsheet
We were running gap analysis manually and cross referencing into a spreadsheet every time an observation was completed. Now it is built into the portal, so we get a live picture in one place. For IQA sampling the difference is huge. Our IQAs can audit and sample without digging through spreadsheets. It saves hours of admin and strengthens the audit trail.

CareTracker: competence and supervision for care providers
Challenge
Care providers must evidence Care Certificate progress, day-to-day competence and Regulation 18 supervision — usually scattered across binders and spreadsheets.
What we built
CareTracker: the full Care Certificate 2025 standard built in, competence sign-off, manager risk surfacing and supervision logs in one calm system.
